About 25-30 year ago I went to a country and western evening at the Brentwood Centre. Don Williams, I think it was. The Mrs' favourite at the time.
I kid you not, apart from us, I swear the entire audience had been mugged by the same hairdresser and the same clothes shops, and the car park was full of Escorts and Capris, with furry dice fully on display. We thought we were in some sort of parallel universe.....
