A mate of mine has been deliberating over what is the best leather interior colour combination to order for his new Cerbera. I personally am not to keen on Biscuit colour!.

Anybody got any preferences??

Depends on what the exterior colour is :-

Yellow cars tend to have either blue or purple interiors.

Blue exterior can get away with most colours.

Green exterior tend to have green interiors.

Red exterior anything except green or blue unless colour blind.

Silver exterior most colours.

Magnolia has tended to be the most popular choice, but does take some time to keep clean - mine's magnolia with prussian blue highlights.

Popular now seems to be a lighter and darker shade of interior to match the exterior colour. The only exception I can remember was an orange Tuscan with a blue and orange interior.

TVR should be able to match the interior to whatever colour he wants if it's not one of their normal colours in the same way they will paint the exterior in any colour he wants.

Just one tip - always go for a dark dash top or you're friend will suffer from reflections.

I really liked magnolia. I had that in my 'S'. It also had matching dark blue pipeing on the seats.

I saw the orange TVR you refer to at Donington....hmmm, I don't think that I would have picked that colour myself, it ain't my cuppa tea.

Surely though the madder the colour you choose the less the next person is 'potentially' going to like it, thus lowering the re-sale value when it comes the time to sell the car for a bigger, faster, newer TVR??.

I once saw a dark coloured Cerbie (blue possibly black) with a charcoal interior but it had light grey trimmings - looked the mutts.
You could also go to other extremes, how about purple and yellow, or blue and yellow give it that Ikea look

Magnolia and biscuit will go with most colours as has been said. My Cooper green car has a full leather interior of 'Irish Mist and Ocean Haze' which is basically two greens. Looks nice though, with 'ever so light green dials', too.

Yellow cars I think tend to have black interiors. The grey is quite nice too.

What colour is the exterior or has that got to be chosen too? Some colours work well on the newer models, I'd have a Tuscan in that burnt ornage but I wouldn't have a Chim

Has he got Photoshop? Comes in handy for messing about with colours on screen.

Because the cerbie is (or certainly 'feels') cramped inside as it is so low and the rollbar restricted view out of the window I favoured light colours as they give an impression of space in the cabin Hence I went for three greys(portland, flint and somehting else !!) See the profile for pictures - dark dash top but light grey interior and two tone seats with halcyon paintwork looked stunning in the showroom compared to the black with green leather that felt a little too oppressive inside......IMO of course.....
