Methinks phatgixer is closing in on the PHer of the year prize. What a stable! The first signs of his rise to maximum petrolhead status began at the last Vmax......did you see the front left tyre on his CSL?! Right down to the thread!

I have been looking foward to you coming actually!
Nice to see the TVR figures being banded about. iirc 2 sheds said the 500's make round 280lbs/ft torque and weigh around 1150kg. Brunters is as hard on tyres as you make it, drive smoothly and you'll have no wear - do a Goodlife and you'll reduce them to canvas, it's up to you. Last time Melanie was doing some fast drifts on the return road's right hander, the tyres were still ok for 4 months of daily use.

Like I said I haven't got a clue what my figures are (for the car!) but I know they are a lot lower than the handbook figures. 2sheds knows his stuff so I'd believe what he said.

I know why you are looking forward to me going, because you know your car will beat mine! I have no doubt I'll have the slowest top speed there but it will be nice to find out how inaccurate the speedo is.

At the moment its not very good to drive quick but hopefully the upcoming service will sort it.
Also getting new tyres beforehand so unfortunately won't be trying to wear them out at Bruntingthorpe. Its a shame as I was looking forward to seeing the old ones off there but they are now too low on tread.

Trying something different to the S03s which lasted 2 trackdays, airfield, Euro driving hol, some drag racing and over 10K of not very careful miles . (Exactly 6 months). I was impressed with them but want to compare others.

Now thats commitment!

Glorious car in itself, but to be in a garage alongside that sort of kit, quite phenomenal.

Looking at all of Slinkys figures I think even the slowest cars should top 150mph (depending on weather conditions) which is pretty good going

if its anything like VMAX, 1,2,3,4,5 it will be a mixture of tropical sun, hurricane like winds, rain, snow and the possibility of a tsunami!

Read as it might be ok, unless it rains, in which case it won't be

It will be absolutely lashing it down.

How can I be so sure? Simple: the day before, I'm getting the beetle zymoled.

Ergo, the indamnable interface of Satan, his loathsome bile & my eiderdown is assured.

Having checked the last event's threads I can see he was there. I remembered seeing the CSL, just didn't realise it was him.

When I said last year Zymolling helps the airflow and thus increases speed I was joking!! BTW, does your Zymol supplier travel south!!
