Vmax next event March 25
Discussion
Hi All,
Hope everyone is well.
Our next event is March 25th at Bruntingthorpe. Same drill as always, a day of socialising around cars, talking all things cars and speed and unlimited top speed runs on the runway plus the follow up bends. VmaxTV will be streaming around the venue and the drivers marquee is available to chill out in between runs.
We double sweep the track before the event and thanks to our friends at Aston Martin we'll have the full Aston Martin range there for Vmax drivers to do high speed runs in and test the cars. Full top safety crew present as always.
Thanks to our marketing partnership we've been able to reduce the price back to the 2015 level of £395 per car.
Lots of you have been before and it would be great to see you again. This event is fairly full but we do have some spaces still available.
All the best,
Craig.
Hope everyone is well.

Hi
I'm interested in running this event when I get my R35 GT-R. However, I'm not looking to hammer the car to the highest possible speed but just experience the acceleration up to 120ish. Is this fine? It seems like the psychology is that it's a race.
Hope that makes sense.
Also, do participants get specialist cover?

120? I put a months salary down on that lasting all of a couple of runs. You'll be hitting 120 in less than 10 seconds of what is a 30 second run at WOT. Go, max it out and enjoy what is a fantastic event. Nowhere else can you safely (as safe as is possible) drive to 180+ in a standard road car. You don't have to go balls deep on the first run, just build up to it and go faster every run. And when you are bored of that you can ask around for passenger rides in all sorts of top metal.
I've been twice and am booked for April.

Yes having been on a test drive I hit 120 on a country lane (NSL) so I'm pretty naive!Go, max it out and enjoy what is a fantastic event. And fullyagree.
Are there any noise limits at this event?

For all the supercars, you gotta love that Supra though.
For real, that thing was a beast. 700bhp+. I'm not sure it got a proper run in though did it? It looked exactly as I'd want mine to look too. CamL said:
Haha, yes, and I remember seeing you cleaning a circle on your door to stick the sticker on Great day for sure and I managed a run in the DBS as well, impressive beast!
Gosh, that was slightly embarrassing. I think a visit to DMS and maybe an exhaust is needed, as well as removing the roof bars. I'm not at all satisfied with 171mph. if that doesn't give me more (aiming for 185mph) I might have to think about what I can buy for a reasonable sum that'll get me as close to 200 as possible. Seeing the kind of cars that can manage it in that short a run makes me realise how hard it is to reach that. Gassing Station | Events & Meetings | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
