Hi all.... just thought I'd start a thread where ya can post what Triumph you have..... I could troll through profiles etc but that's too much like hard work Just post up any info or pics so we can all have a drool.

I shall start the ball rolling with my '80 TR7 Convertible.... now off the road for rebuilding and due to receive a shiny, new TVR 5L V8 at some time in the next several months..... See pic below and on my website

My TR7 and my father's nearly-completed E-Type

That is a nice looking TR7 you have there Esprit. Someone else wrote the other day about how it seems to have matured nicely and looks good now where it didn't when new.

Anyway, here's my box of tricks...

mmmmm..... TR6 *drools* I've always thought they looked (and sounded) like a truck..... and I don't mean that in a bad way..... it's just that they exude manliness from every angle..... and calling them a "car" just seems to make them sound too feminine..... indeed a very lovely example too

thanks for the comment on my "7"... it's the wheels.... slap on a modern set of rims (the RIGHT ones, the wrong ones kinda look daft) and it just makes it that much more modern.... got the rebuild coming over the next couple of years so not sure yet what colour it's going (or staying) but it's going to be just as sexy (or sexier) when finished

Edited to add: Where in the SouthWest are you from? I'm from Wadebridge in Cornwall originally I've lived the vast majority of my life in NZ though.... will return someday in the mid-term future though, love the place.

Actually they handle like a truck too...

I'm from Dorset, orginally. Can't imagine why you want to come back here. I was just admiring the scenery in your picture!

Lol Ive driven a few TR6s.... they're not the lightest car on their feet, but that's not what they're about

As for the scenery, yeah it's nice, that's the area where I was raised (that photo was taken at my parents new house...4 acre block, big 4-bedroom house, miles of space to extend on the garage, pool, spa, views for miles... I LOVE going home to visit) but NZ aint the nicest place to live if you don't like liberal socialist societies (as this one is becoming one) I'm sticking around til the next election to see if things get better or not.... giving it 'til then

Two Herald Convertibles - both restoration projects - one in pieces and one complete - the 'in pieces' one is the Beaulea photo car!

Been renovating mine for a bit now. It was in emerald green but had it resprayed in metallic British Racing Green.

I had the seats, door panels and dash covered in green/black leather as well as the rear panel. Put new switches, dash, and steering wheel on as well. New carpets etc.

Put a new sports exhaust on which with the K & N filters sounds great.

Very nice looking GT6 that..! Minilites would look even better though eh? (IMHO)
Cool car though.

Should it now be a GT8?

Kevin..
Note your list of previous cars which include a TVR 3000M , and wondering how you rate the 3000M versus the TR6 that you presently have ? ( It looks superb...)
Was considering a TR6 before the purchase of my TVR , and seeing your car in that condition makes me wonder if I have made the right choice..?
Regards
Brian..

TR6 is a dog in std form and take a lot to make it go and corner like a 3000M - the brakes are crap as std on both (the same). Had 3000 and race a TR6 (developed from a sad std one over best part of 20 years - 270 bhp next year).

Still don't know how to link picts to the reply's area after almost 3 years....

You need to put the pics on a webserver then insert the url of the pics - see formatting codes. Email the pics to me if you want them put up - I'll email you back with the urls.

Out of interest, who preps your TR?
