That pic is sooooooo 70s! Sadly I have no photos of any of my dad's cars from the 70s or 80s. Somewhere, I have a photo of the 1965 Austin 1100 in which my uncle drove four adults and three children (one being me) plus luggage and a massive tent to Italy and back during the 1966 World Cup My uncle was the only one of the four adults to be able to drive as my dad did not learn to drive until 1969, when he was 31) .

Although my dad and my uncle had many BL cars, neither of them ever had a Triumph, as they were not in the Triumph demographic. When my dad reached the company car ranks in his BL job, he was given Princesses, Ambassadors, Maestros and Montegos. My uncle was a toolmaker at Jaguar, and always had a newish Austin or Morris. My dad worked in all the BL companies except for Jaguar and Triumph and Leyland itself (although he did work on the SD1, and that was in six cylinder guise partially Triumph). He had some middle class friends who had big Triumph saloons or estates, and one flash git architect mate who had a purple Dolomite Sprint with, I now suspect, a well used back seat. We didn't know anyone who had a Stag, but a prominent footballer turned up in one to open my school's fete one year.

On the North Orbital Road (A 414) near London Colney I have several times seen a mid forties yummy mummy with three kids who drives a dark green Triumph 2500 that appears to be her daily driver. Sadly I am never in my Dolomite when I see her.

God Damn you Triumph owners these pics are really annoying.
I have now officially given up any hope of finding a Triumph 2.5 pi Estate and I wonder if they ever did exist. I guess it would be difficult for some people to understand the appeal of Triumphs and maybe its a generational thing but they kind of get under your skin especially if as an 18 year old your first car was a 12/50 Herald Convertible.

Not a lot of help I know, but just right now there's a Triumph mk1 2500 estate AND a Herald estate for sale in new Zealand.

So they really do exist.

Just around the corner from the UK, and a few thousand miles .....

Whether there's any left in decent nick in UK climate is another issue..... they don't salt the roads here !

At least you can enjoy the photos...

(trademe is NZ's locally owned ebay equivalent, in case you are wondering)

I did notice on the club site a few nice Cars in NZ. The one Estate I did see was a rust box and had already been patched up far too much
