Engine Flushing,

Hi all,
I run a 1500 Spitfire, I try to keep on top of most of basic maintaince myself, just a quick query, when changing the oil and filter etc, is it worth flushing the system? Or just let the engine drain for half an hour and then re-fill with a decent 20-50?

Its not a good idea to flush a high mileage engine, due to all the crap and sludge ends up in the sump, then the oil pump strainer gets blocked up. seen it happen on a Rover 825 took a lot of work to sort the result out all from a can of engine flush.
