I'm considering buying a GT6, but I'm 6'4 tall... Will I fit, or am I wasting my time even beginning to think about it?

Thanks,

Alan

I'm 6'2" and I found it perfectly comfortable. The problem isn't head room so much as the huge steering wheel Triumph saw fit to install. Mine had a little thick rimmed job and it was actually a joy to drive.

Best to get out there and try one. I think the Mark 3 has a higher roof line but I might stand corrected on this. Also avoid cars with a sun roof - I found those a problem.

Thanks for that - I hadn't thought of different marks possibly being different sizes.

Do Webasto sunroofs use up headroom? I know modern tilt & slide ones use loads, but I'd kind of assumed that canvas ones didn't.

Thanks again!

You can try looking here to see if it's been covered (think it has) - www.tssc.org.uk/messageboard.asp?board=gt6&section=general

Thanks - that's a good website. I hadn't come across it before.

I'm 6ft2 & have been driving a mk3 GT6 for 8yrs with no problem. Offset pedals take a bit of getting used to and that sweet straight 6 makes for a warm (to say the least) cockpit but you won't regret it! Try the TSSC classifieds to find a good one. If you're really serious get yourself to their annual International weekend @ Stafford next month (details on their site), there's usually a few for sale. I'll be the one thre with the VW upsetting them all.

Paul.

I'd forgotten that particular characteristic - nice and toasty in the winter though. Some bright spark had cut a hole in my transmission tunnel to get at the overdrive - that didn't help either.
