James, get your tutor to have a look at
www.sportingbears.org.uk/MainInfo/sbmc_profile.htm
for details, and photo of Bears’ webmaster’s previously owned TR
and
www.sportingbears.org.uk/MainInfo/sbmc_history.htm
to find out where the logo came from
The first Bears were TR owners and their friends, a few years later and TVRs were well represented in the club
Please also point out that the Bears is not an elitist club and any TR3a is more than welcome it doesn’t have to be show standard, no need to wait until Kimbolton, we do other stuff, he can download an application form from the site
I was a little surprised that a guy of your age even knew what a GT6 is and to find out it’s one of your favourites, well I must do my best to make sure I get it to Kimbolton in fine running tune (subject to my wife’s finances not being broken by it before that time)
Next year I’ll post photos of it to my profile
cheers i'll get him to have a look at this tomorrow!
i'm very fond of most of the old british classics from the 60's/70's (jensen CV8's, interceptors, Zephyr Zodiacs etc just to name a few!)and i think the GT6 is one of the best examples of how good british sportscars were back then!
i really like the 1500 spitfire and the TR6 too, i love the classic styling and feel of these cars, i think they're great!

James, I agree with you 60/70s cars for me too
Before anyone else comments I think you mean the GT6 is one of best examples of how good the styling of British sportscars were back then
GT6 was, as with most British cars, built down to a price but there was nothing like it at that price so it was a good British sportscar for the price
The cars from that era, and 50s, had bags more fualts but bags more charm and eye and driver appeal
