Hiya, I just got a 2008 Mini Cooper S and it's proving very good, I am particularly impressed by the amount of lateral grip it generates, despite the fact that it's not particularly light, not particularly low nor has not particularly wide tyres. It's also very balanced, almost neutral.

Its overhangs are tiny, particularly at the back, is that a factor that helps generate more lat grip ?

If so, what's the downside (apart from the limited accomodation) ? Less stable ? Less comfort ?

Thanks !

Nick

Something to do with moments of inertia I think. A bit like mid engine vs front engine rwd.
