A very old system, but still not the fastest or easiest to use really.
It's much quicker if you have an assistant repeatedly drive over the gauge while you adjust the toe

It's also worth swapping from side to side, rather than adjusting one side at a time, because it's only reading total toe

It's quicker than going to Quack Faart and having your tracking made far worse, going back to complain and having some oik kicking spanners all over the place in a fit of pique.

I had a set of AD08RS put on my Roadster on Thursday

I foolishly didn't go for a test drive before a trip to Wales this weekend

The fitter (not the place I usually go to) completely screwed up the wheel balance, both front a rear

Saturday morning I went to KwikFit Cardiff, and waited patiently for at least 90 minutes, before the young lad balanced the wheels

I nearly fell over when I was changed just £13 for four wheels

And the car is now as smooth as silk - very impressed with KwikFit despite the wait

It depends entirely on the competence of the operator. A sophisticated tracking or balancing device can be misused by an uninterested and bolshy youth, or used as it is designed by an operator who understands the principles. Luck of the draw I'm afraid - you were fortunate.
