Hi,
Two fold really, first, my flexi hoses are held in place by a bracket on the rear axle (and on the inner front wing for the fronts) and secured by spring clips on the recessed area of the female coupling of the flexi hose, this is where the flexi joins the brass brake pipe.

I'm considering changing to braided hose, but instead of having 2 flexi's on the front (it goes brake line - flexi -bracket - flexi - caliper) I want one continuous goodridge which I'll pass through the existing bracket but will not be secured.

Do flexi's need to be secured to existing brackets for the MOT?, they'll be of equal length and away from any potential snagging.

Secondly, Anyone recommend a source for Braided hose and couplings?. Demon Tweeks seems first choice, but it's not a cheap outing.

Cheers

As long as they dont rub etc i cant see it being a problem. Remember the hose will move when you drive and also check it when your on each lock.

Cheers! Yep, I'll check it doesn't foul or snag. Could prove rather embarassing otherwise...

Goodridge or Hel will make lines to your spec with proper crimped connections. I'm not sure if the screw together compression fittings are legal for road use? (they aren't permitted on tarmac rally cars anyway).

Make sure they don't rub or catch anything at any position of movement, are secured properly and that they do not stretch at any point.
I use Think Automotive in west London, they should make them up for you if you ask.
