Yes my 1 series is 5 x 120 but so was the Mini Countryman wink

Loads of Minis were 5 x 112 surely the poverty end of the range ran steels and centres?
Steels and wheel trims unfortunately frown
You can run without the trims though biggrin
No worries with kerbing though. Trims are cheaper than a refurb!
But they tend to look pants. True on the refurb though, I managed to get too close to a kerb a few weeks back, think I'm going to use it as an excuse to go for a colour change for the summer.

Ran Nankang winters over six years and yes they were great and hard wearing. Unexpectedly they were quieter than Michelin Primacys on rough surfaces, which means pretty much everywhere around here. On perfectly smooth surfaces they droned a bit but the average driver probably wouldn't have noticed.

Goodyear Vector 4 seasons gen 3 for me from now on though.
But you being an above average driver must have an ear tuned to such audible annoyances? bow

It's a low bar. hehe

Was in a colleague's car and could hardly hear myself think over the noise of a whining wheel bearing, it was like a jumbo jet on take off.

Colleague- "what noise?" rotate

Unrelated to the topic - But I see this so frequently!

Someone going along the motorway with a rear wheel imbalance / destroyed suspension - You could see the entire rear beam vibrating massively, and sure enough the driver was nodding along at the same frequency.

Or the neighbour at the end of the road - You can hear the aux belt screaming for grim death smile

Or the loose undertray brigade driving down the motorway with it visibly slapping the road & car floor constantly - It must sound atrocious inside??

That's exactly what we are doing, running them without the trims.

Prefer the look of the steel wheel, the only issue is the wheel hub center is exposed and I have yet to find a suitable cover.

What about these

Might be worth asking the seller for the external diameter and the depth of the wheel bolt clips?

Got my new winter tyres fitted this morning.

The Goodyear Ultragrips had served me well over the last 4 winters so I went with that brand again.
The latest gen of this tyre is the ultragrip performance 3, not many tyre places listed them but ATS Euromaster came good.

£140 each, 225/45-17.

I've been impressed with my Hankooks in the odd milder spell recently. Having a staggered set with 275 section on the back certainly seems to help get the power down compared to the square set (235) I had on my e39 M5.
