Yeah, I though about it but mine is XS model and apparently it came with SLS shocks and now it's been fitted with a pair of normal ones. Would this make a difference to springs? If it doesn't, happy days-I can get the pair from the dealer. If it does...then they wouldn't know, would they?

Cheers

Ah yes if you want non-standard springs then you may as well buy elsewhere.

SOLVED

Hi Guys,

I've managed to sort out the hammering suspension issue I had. It was the knackered both rear coils. The bumper stopper had been touching the bottom, transferring the movements straight to the chassis. See pics below.

Checking the recommended aftermarket coils from www.7zap.com (OEM part number and diagram website for Kia), I ordered Kilen coil springs KIL54930 (for non SLS suspension), £40 each including VAT and now the car runs well smoothly! It also has raised the rear side of the car giving a 130mm clearance between the wheel arch and top of the 265.70R16 tyre.

Well done, your springs were cheaper than my new shocks! However with my new tyres fitted as well as new shocks it feels like a car instead of a truck and runs a lot quieter on the road. Wife is happy.

Thanks. I suspected the shocks as well so I wanted to replace them and it was quoted same price, £40 each incl VAT. but it's in a good condition. I need to sort out more issue like cruise control, clock and dome light, fitting a momentary switch to open the boot window etc. I'll do it one buy one...I've been wanted to buy Sorento for long years and I'm glad I've got one now- such a nice 4x4!

And yes, my wifey is happy too. All these are our wives eh! And cars are called 'she' lolz
