Looking for a pair of all season tyres for the front of my 4x4 yeti and have narrowed it down to these, due to price mainly.
Falken Euro allseason AS200 V XL
Uniroyal Allseasonexpert 94V XL
Kumho Solus 98V XL
Toyo Celsus 98V XL

Any opinions on these tyres? They all seem to much of a muchness. All come in at £180 plus fitting. All seem to be regarded quite well.

Check tyrereviews.com

I suspect that there will be tests where nearly all have been tested against each other

In typical PH fashion I'm going to ignore your options and suggest something else. Vredestein Quatrac 5.

I'll see your Vredesteins, and raise you a Continental Cross Contact. hehe

I have four fitted to my Rangie, and they really are very good indeed... You'll need to shop around for a bargain, though. They tend to be pricey buggers.

I've got Falken AS200s fitted to my car...

Been on there for a couple of years and I'm very happy with them - in fact I've been very impressed with the grip in the wet.

I'd certainly recommend them as a good all season tyre.

Thanks guys.
I had looked at other makes but at the moment, I am in a redundancy period in life, I need to buy well, and cheap. All these I can buy and have fitted for less than £200 all in the pair.
Have I missed any bargains?
The Yeti is 225 50 17

Bit of a thread resurrection, but Mrs SB needs a new set of all-season tyres soon.

Currently running Michelin CrossClimates, which have been great. They've lasted about 24K, but the price now is an eye-watering £280 per corner (255/45/20)

Kumho Solus is another option - they're around £160, so saving almost £500 for a set of four. Are the Kumho any good? There don't seem to be many other choices in that size.

I’ve had a set of Kuhmo WinterTracs on my Kangoo van last winter, on my Renault Trafic van this winter, and on my Wife’s C5 this winter.

Whilst not the exact tyres that you’re asking about, I’ve been very impressed with the Kuhmos and I think they’ve offered very good value for money across three different types of vehicles, (small, light van, large, heavy van, average sized / weight car).

On the Cayenne I ran Vredestein Vortis & on my Mitsubishi outlander I run Vredestein Quadtracs as the Vorti isn't available in the Mitz's size.
The Vortis were great but definitely a summer tyre. I ran Dunlop winters on the Cayenne. The Quadtracs are all seasons & in the recent snow they were great.

I've run Quatracs for the past couple of years on an XC70 and have been very happy with them. I've also had Cross Climates on another car during that same period, same weather etc and the latter, I dunno... I'm just not as happy with them. They seems a bit lacking in slushy / snowy conditions compared to the Quatracs, though are arguably a bit better in the dry. I wouldn't have them again however, not at the money they're at lately.

Vredenstein is one of the brands that don't seem to offer that size frown

Have a look at the pirelli scorpion verde all season.
Got them on my Volvo xc, they are quite superb in the depths of winter, but perfectly fine in summer. Quite at all times and seem to be lasting well. Should see 20k out of them, which ain't bad on a 2 tonne xc90

Camskill have Quatrac Pro @ £184.15, add about £12 for postage of 4 plus whatever you have to pay for fitting.

I've not used the latest Quatracs but family cars have been through several previous versons over the years, yet to have a bad Vredestein.

One thing i'm looking at more these days is just how much tread new tyres come with, i'm absolutely not buying anything with less than 8mm new tread, not a;ways easy to find out what tread depth they come with unless you can physically examine yourself.
