Creaking from rear of car
Discussion
I noticed when getting out of my old Yaris tonight that it made a creaking noise from the rear wheel area. I'm not that heavy, so I don't load the suspension too much. Is this likely to be a shock absorber/spring/bushes/something else? The car is going in for its MOT tomorrow, so I might find out what's causing the noise soon enough!
It'll be some part of the suspension, bodywork, trim, transmission, exhaust, braking system etc shifting slightly as the vehicle moves. It's probably doing it as you drive along too, but the noise is covered up by other background noises. There is no reason to think it is causing any harm other than irritating you.

That's a bit like going to the doctor and saying "I've got a pain in my tummy" Or left little toe.The doc needs to examine you and maybe do some tests.
But in this case, you're the doctor!
Examine the car, do some tests.
If you can get under it, NOT WHEN IT'S LIFTED BY A JACK!
Use a big screwedriver or other stick to lever at the various joints and components. A squeak has to be from sosmething tyhat moves, so if there is one that moves excessively - It might even squeak obligingly for you!
OR, get someone else to get in the car, while you have a listen.
EXAMINE the patient! And TEST it, with the big stick!
