The dealer have stated warping
Dealer is the key word, they're salesman, not mechanics, their mechanics are there to make them money at the end of the day. Be highly sceptical of anything they say

OH MY WORD.

What a marathon...

After many, many emails back and forth between myself, the salesman, the service manager and the aftercare manager over more than a week, they have finally relented and fitted new discs and pads all round!!!! Car is being delivered in a few hours.

There has been no apology for the extremely poor way I feel this has been handled, but i've got the outcome I was after so i'll take that as massive win regardless.

Many thanks for all the helpful replies (especially the wookies expert views).

Now I just need to hope the issue doesn't repeat itself...

Cheers!

Well done OP, glad to have helped!

ETA fingers crossed it doesn’t but if it does recur then (assuming you’re not giving them a monster tatering on a regular basis) don’t accept a driving style explanation. A recurrence with low mileage is often more indicative of an underlying issue causing the runout

I’ve given the list of potential causes, they should be going into more detail with the calipers, wheels and hubs to solve it next time!
