Mercedes s class w211 suspension issue

Own a mercedes s class w211. Recently had the tires changed. Took the car on a long road trip and it began knocking from what appears to be the front suspension about two weeks ago. It comes and goes and now is at times a sqeaking. The car feels fairly normal to drive. Any ideas what the problem could be?

I had similar on c207 e coupe. Bottom control arms. Check for play?
