Hi guys, just recently a creaking suddenly started over the course of a couple of days (I noticed it in this time at least anyway).

When I drive into my driveway I kind of have to drive over a curve on the ground like a hump so I go up then down with the car and the noise is also apparent when I reverse into my parking spot as the parking spot slopes upwards,

The noise is a creaking sound and I can replicate it just by the lightest push down on the back of the car, it creaks when it goes up and when it goes down and sounds like it is coming from right behind the wheel itself. It sounds like someone humping on a creaky bed.

It'll likely be dry bushes on your rear suspension or a worn suspension arm. What car is it?

Thanks smile QUick update though. I just went down to check the bounce again after it has been parked up for 30 minutes and I can hardly make it creak without pushing it really hard, it hardly creaks now? Strange.

I used to have this on an old Celica and it would only show up when it had been raining and water got into the bushes on the rear anti roll bar, I'd get it up on a ramp for things to be tugged about and find out what's going on.

Hmm it was a dry night but I did notice it was a bit worse after a shower we had earlier. Is it a job I could do myself? I dont want to pay something stupid like £200 to get it done, spent enough on this car since I bought it.

You shouldn't have to pay t much for someone to look and diagnose it, you can then decide from there if you feel confident to try it. Some suspension jobs require presses etc for bushes too.

Thanks I will get it looked at next week I found the exact noise although in the video the noise is rather short rather than a longer creak https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vve4c-fx6_8
