Citroen C2 clunking/knocking noise - please help

Hi All!

I am new to this forum, hopefully someone can advise me with the following:

I am driving a Citroen C2 vtr and recently I have heard a rhythmic knocking/clunking noise sounding as if it is coming from the left rear tire. When driving at a faster speed on a flat road I do not hear the noise. Only when I make a right turn at about 60-80 km/h OR when I use my gears to assist in braking (sound is heard when down gearing and slowly releasing clutch).

I do not hear the sound when making a left turn. I have recorded the sound but I don’t see an option on this forum where I can upload the recording.

If anyone has any advice to give I would really appreciate it!!

Take it to a competent mechanic for a diagnosis. It might be a wheel bearing or CV joint, but unless you're planning to fix this yourself there isn't really any point trying to second guess their diagnosis.
