What’s the average cost for this these days?
I haven’t had it done in a case for such a long time I was a little surprised when charged £198 by wheels in motion. All 4 wheels did need adjusting but still 😳

It doesn't have to be Hunter, that is just a brand name for the gear.

Had a full geometry check including all wheels needing toe adjustment, all also needing camber adjustment (track car) for £120 last year at my local tyre fit place.

ETA.
IIRC the costing was £80 all in if just a bit of adjustment & as I knew I would need more as I had basically changed EVERYTHING on the suspension he said he would see & we settled on £120, but I was there over 2 hours all in.

It's not the alignment you're paying for it's the knowledge on full geometry set-up. When I used WiM the car was unbelievable afterwards - not only did he tell me how the car was behaving beforehand he told me what it would be doing afterwards.

Yep these machines are all well and good but the restricted by the experience of whoever uses them to set your car up.

Completely agree, it’s all in the person that uses the machine.
They did a fantastic job and can’t fault them at all. I suppose because I haven’t had it done in years just didn’t know how much to expect.

100%
I stupidly took my car to Kwik Fit...the very young lad didn't even realise the rear could be adjusted on an MR2 Roadster on the first visit...I then realised when I got home that he had selected the previous gen MR2 for the settings. I went back and to be fair they did set it up correctly on the second attempt for free. The cost was £100.

Wheels in Motion did my lads GT86 and charged £98 I think it was...but they knew what they were doing, talked him through it and did a perfect job first time.

The thing is with the Hunter machine...honestly, anyone could use it. You fit the gear to the wheels and the computer tells you exactly what needs to be done. You really shouldn't be able to get it wrong (Kwik Fit are obviously useless and I shouldn't have gone there in the first place...my bad). What you want is a garage that takes time to make the geometry perfect first time, and a test drive afterwards is always a good sign.
