Hi all, I wonder if anyone would know what the problem is with my front brakes (Fiesta)? When i pull away from a standstill after using the brakes the offside front brake squeaks (with varying squeakiness each time), this only seems to happen when the car warms up. It also squeaks when reversing.

The discs & pads are only about 5000 miles old, genuine Ford?

Pads not sitting correctly
Pads binding on the carrier
Brake caliper binding
Brake hose restricting return of fluid
Poor quality pads

Any or all of those are the likely cause, but can be other issues too.

Need to be stripped and checked.

Slide pins probably sticking and therefore causing the caliper to stick. There could be corrosion in the slide pin holes which could be pushing the rubber grommets against the pins. If so then buff the holes (dremel is great for this) and put the grommets back in. Buff the pins if necessary but gently. Shouldn't take a garage any more than an hour.

Just to update. The garage couldn’t find any serious fault, but stripped the brakes down, cleaned and reassembled adding some copper grease where necessary.

Result, nice quiet brakes! Thumbs up to the Ford main dealer.

I'd be asking for a little more detail and also exactly where they have been putting copper grease. The noise may come back if not been cleaned and buffed properly but fingers crossed they did.

Good result.

I would guess it was more annoying than an actual fault.

Strip, clean and reassemble was probably all that was needed.
