Hi Guys,

Need a bit of advise, car failed on the following.

Nearside Front Suspension arm ball joint excessively worn (wishbone) (5.3.4 (a) (i))
Offside Front Suspension arm ball joint excessively worn (wishbone) (5.3.4 (a) (i))

Is this referring to the lower ball joint or the track control arm?

thanks

I’d saw lower ball joint, the track rod is normally referred to as such.

I would interpret that as referring to the lower suspension arm aka wishbone. These usually have a ball joint at the outboard end. Some have a ball joint at the inboard end too. You'd need to see what your car type has and which ones need replacing. Alternatively, you could ask the person who issued the test result.
