Hi All,

Looking at a new set of alloys and the following is the standard wheels:

PCD 5x114
Centre bore 60
Offset 50

Now what would happen if I get an offset of of say 30.

Also is ET the same as offset?

Help much appreciated.

ET is the same as offset.

If you need 50 then don't put 30 on your car.

ET 30 would sit 20mm closer to hub and strut over ET50.
Potential to foul the strut.
Don't do it.

In real terms, for a wheel of the same width, it will stick out 20mm further compared to standard.

It's worth googling and comparing wheels as there are decent videos out there and you need to consider other aspects too.

This is incorrect.
et30 wheels will sit 20mm further out than et50 wheels. It will be the same as adding a 20mm spacer.
This assumes the wheels are the same width, if they are wider or narrower then the changes in inner and outer rim position will vary (although the centreline of wheel will still be 20mm further out).

OP, what are the rim widths of your current wheels and your proposed new wheels?

This!

willtheyfit.com is a great website for this OP. Have a look on there

It could be that an offset of 30 works for your car unless it's lowered, a lot! The alloys and tyres will sit further out, making the tyres flush with the arches and increasing the width of the track.

Is it the alloys you want to swap, or are you after a better 'stance'?

Hi OP here,

Thank you for all the help and advice. I will check out the websites. They are to replace an existing set of scruff Lexus is200.
