Avon Tyres / Tread Cracking - Anyone Else Had This?

2nd set failed MOT within 3 years due to cracking between the tread blocks - I thought the first set might have been a bad batch.. but seems like thats it: 3 years and done - regardless of how much tread / life is left.

It is only a fail if the cracking is bad enough to expose the cords other substructure. Surface cracking is not enough to fail.

That's what they failed on - cords visable when you shine a torch in them. No word from Avon.

As for 'all tyres do that now' - Not seen it with Pirelli / Conti's
