There can't be many cars that don't look better with some BBS / split rims with a polished lip on them.

Absolutely detest the current flat face, diamond cut or mix of gloss black, satin silvers on alternative spokes trend for most wheels.

"Diamond cut" is a marketing term that I find amusing; it's just a machined surface Ceramic, carbide, whatever, even good old-fashioned high speed steel, would produce the same end product - throw in the word "diamond" & it somehow takes on added value!

But they are diamond cut. It's a PCD cutting tip.

I'm not disputing that. My point was that the finish obtained would be the same irrespective of the cutting tool used. "Carbide machined" would probaly not impress the punters. . .

Is it a case cars have just got wider and wider over the past decades and moved the hubs out in a widening of track kinda way .Possibly to accommodate wider engine packages.
So the deep dish had gone for ever as the track + bodies have larded up .Something like that .
