Hi, i have a 2018 suzuki swift booster jet and i am trying to work out how to remove the bearing assembly.
I want to remove the assembly of a donor hub and fit (hopefully in situ) to my car ...

On the donor i can see that 3 bolts going in to the assembly are missing and have been removed, these I wiill have on my existing one on the car .
To me it looks like it needs separating but not sure if it's a complete unit or not, so before i do any damage i was hoping someone could help ...As said i was hoping it was a pretty straight forward job by removing the 3 bolts and it should pull apart..Any help would be appreciated .Thanks ..
I will post a coupler of pics later ..

id take a guess the bit with the wheel studs in bashes out from behind , then replace the bearing in the other part and push back the old flange with the studs in

what does the new bearing look like ?

Quickest and simplest just to swap the whole assembly.

Hi, yes i was thinking if i couldn't get the hub off then just swapping assemblies over would be doable.
I just thought if it was 3 bolts and off then that would be better ..

So, let me get this straight, you are going to fit a second hand bearing (hub included) to your car want to know how to split it from the hub?

The new bearing would be the whole assembly (carrier) from the donor car as i believe from what i can find on this model it's a complete unit..

What about the other question?

You say "I believe" so does that mean you haven't seen it yet?

Pretty critical that you do before you start taking things apart working on assumptions.

From what i can work out by putting my reg and vin in online car parts is that the bearing is a sealed unit..

But that looks nothing like the one in your pics.

Yours is a 3-bolt hub going to a 4-stud wheel, that is a 4-bolt hub going to a 5-stud wheel.

All the ones I can find (without your full car details obviously) seem to show just a separate bearing on its own.

Yes ....
Would never fit a second hand bearing, you can't check it properly "off the car" and who says it won't go in a few weeks anyway, especially after damage during fitting/removal.

That drawing is from the Haynes online car manual for my car..
My car is the 2018 Suzuki swift booster jet 1.0
Don't mind posting my vin if that would help or reg ..By putting my reg in the online parts i can find the rear bearing and that is a complete unit but i am struggling to find the front so i can determine if it's a press out and press in or a complete sealed unit ..My Reg is V20 OWL

Normally i would agree with you but i actually own the donor car and it only as 5k on it before it was written off.(rear end damage)

If you are doing this rather than getting new, this would be my best advice.

Carefully warm the outer rear cast lower leg with the 3 bolts removed & with it warm tap the outer hub out using a suitably large socket that only impacts the outer race of the bearing from inside.

If that makes sense.

Fitting to the other leg would be done by just pulling it in on the 3 bolts ideally, so you don't damage anything.

Obviously, this may require longer bolts to start off & another bit of warming may make it easier.

This is what i believe to be the full hub assembly which i would be happy to replace with as it does look like if it is complete i should be able to remove the 3 bolts (and hub nut) and remove the old unit and replace with new in situ ..Hope that makes sense ,just need to know how to remove full assembly ..

Like I said remove 3 x bolts, warm leg lower casting from behind 3 x bolts, tap out with a suitable (socket works well) sized drift that means the hammer force is going only onto the outer.
