On a trip to Powerstation on Saturday, there was a very nice man selling Tarox brakes. For a 6 pot system it was about £1200, this is significantly cheaper than a Brembo set up.

Do you think I would be wise to give them a go?

They aren’t cast like the Brembo callipers, but billet :)

The machining looks good, so I can’t think of reason not to get them

I have a 318mm 10 pot setup on my mk3 golf 16v, best brakes i've ever used. I'm not a big fan of brembo, mass produced calipers not vehicle specific like the tarox stuff

I had the 6pot 330mm kit on my cossie for 5yrs and they were excellent and very light.

In fact despite not having the car anymore I still have the brakes to fit on a new project.
