Have got standard sierra disks on front of car, want to put cosworth saphire discs and calipers on, the discs fit fine but when you try to fit the calipers they line up with the mounting holes bot the centre of the caliper is not in line with centre line of disc, about 8-10mm i would say,
so is the upright on the cosy different from the basic sierra, i was told it was the same, any ideas.

standard sierra upright is not the same as cosworth, original 2wd model used four pots also, theres at least two types(poss three) on the sierra from 240mm type to 260mm then 283mm disc diameter for the 4piston model
Ok, there is obviously a different pattern in the fixings. if they cant be swoped over in any way to uprate the brakes then if i fit the 283 discs and try to find a wilwood or APR caliper to fit ? i would rather swap a ford caliper over. Is this not possible at all.

yes it is with the right upright, you can use granada cosworth callipers(single piston but big)lines up on the 283mm 2WD disc face a treat just spaced from the upright with 2mm spacers x 4,easy peasy brake upgrade.
