Renault Clio Sport 172 - Brake Issues

Help! Hopefully somebody can shed some light on the following issue I am having with my beloved Renault Clio Sport 172.
When accelerating above 5,000 revs or going over 50mph and you brake suddenly, the brake pedal goes very hard and won't work (very scary!). After a few seconds you can then press the brakes but the ABS light comes on. Also if you go over 50mph and don't brake during that period, the ABS light comes on also!
Have had the following work carried out but has still not fixed the problem:
- New disc brakes front and back (inc bearings)
- New speed sensors back
- Brake fluid checked
- ECU and modulator sent away for testing : No errors found!
It's such a fun little car and would hate to scrap it but am running out of options!
Please help...
UPDATE:
Have just heard back from the garage after having the Servo Master Cylinder replace and the fault is still there!!! Garage still thinks it's the modulator since it appears to be speed related. Any thoughts greatly appreciated - PLEASE!!!
