I have been using autoglym insant tyre dressing for a while, but it seems to flick up over the paintwork? and then has to be cleaned off.

What is the best product?

Cheers

This stuff is the business and smells lovely (not that that's important).

Find that stuff too thick and nasty, try Zaino, nice and thin and great looks and durability

Absolutely agree with the above, n yes it does smell nice lol. I've tried loads of different types of tyre shine stuff but the Megs one is superb ,you don't need to apply loads, there is virtually no spray off when driving and the shine lasts quite long too

Scrub the tyres first with 25% solution of Bilt Hamber Surfex HD, that'll remove any old gunk and dirt.
Meg's is good, but I prefer 303 Aerospace Protectant, which also proves useful on interior plastics, door seals, wiper blades, and exterior black trim, if you have any.
Will wear off quicker, but gives a more natural satin sheen that a lot of the more commonly suggested ones.

I clean tyres with a decent APC (All Purpose Cleaner) mix of 4:1. Use a decent brush to remove and dirt, mud, debris etc, rinse and dry. Then dress them with Einszett Rubber and Vinyl Dressing for a natural look. Long lasting and does not 'sling' off as you drive down the road.

Boot polish. Seriously. A good old tin of Kiwi - plus a couple of brushers - look like new - and don't smell gay.

I use the Megs too.

Although you do need to give the tyres a good scrub first and dont apply too much.

I tend to put one light coat on, go and do something else an then put another coat on an hour later. No sling that way smile

As already stated. Tyres need cleaning well and dry prior to application. Meguiars endurance is a good dressing but for a non sling product with anti static properties and a nice satin gloss finish. Finsh kares top kote tyre dressing is a cracker.

As already said a good clean first always helps. I use Megs Super Degreaser at 4:1, sprayed on and then aggitate. Rinse well and leave to dry. I use Poorboys Bold n Bright. Apply a thin layer with a good foam applicator. It soaks in / evaporates off well reducing product sling. When detailing I apply a layer as soon the tyres have dried after washing and then again as soon as all polishing is complete. Then by the time the lsp has cured and been buffed you should be ok without it slinging.

I'm going to give that a try. The Autoglym Instant Tyre Dressing is one of the worst products in their entire range IMO.

+1

And leaves a finish that is not too shiny. Works well on plastics too and window rubbers

just a word of warning - don't get the dressing on the treads otherwise you will be driving on 'slicks'!!!
