HELP, outline left after debadging.
Discussion
I'm looking for any advice because after giving the car a clean last weekend I decided to debadge the back of the car. However the result is that im now left with an outline of the badges that I've been unable to get rid of.
It is that noticeable for a distance but is really annoying me and I want to try and get rid of it.
I think that the most likely cause for the outline is that at some point in the cars life someone has lacquered over the badges and this is the result.
Can any of the PH massive offer any possible solutions short of either putting the badges back on or having the boot lid resprayed neither of which I'm a big fan of doing.
Thanks in advance

If it's not under the lacquer - apply a citrus based degreaser if you have it. R222 make a good one. Or others like the Bilt Hamber offering. Spray on and leave to soak. Pressure wash off then reapply and aggitate if needed with a microfibre cloth. Rinse again and then wash the whole car. Once dry, clay bar and then polish. Seal it up with a good wax / sealant.

Is it definitely under the lacquer, and not just residue from the adhesive? Can you feel it or is the area smooth?
If it's residue, then tar remover or white spirit should do the trick.
I think that it may be the lacquer, it's definitely not residue from the adhesive. I got all the adhesive of with tar remover. I think what may have happened is that somebody has lacquered over the badges at some point. If it's residue, then tar remover or white spirit should do the trick.
If you can see in the second picture its only the model badges I've taken off. I've even gone to the effort of getting custom skoda badges. I love owning a skoda and just wanted to take the model badges off purely for my aesthetic reasons. Don't really care whether people know what car it is I like it.
