Just bought an 80s sl which has old reg plates marked on all windows.

Hate this.

Can it be removed?

Doubtfull as it was probably etched in to the class with a template and diamond tipped drill or acid etched either way i would imagine you'd do more damage trying.

could be possible , will depend on how deep the etch is ,

you will end up with a lens effect if deep but it would be gone.

we do carry all the equipment to polish glass.
