What wax/polish for a black car?
Discussion
I know I'm late to the thread but this would be my suggestion;
Autoglym Super Resin Polish - this will clean and 'fill' the paint, making it hopefully a lot shinier than it is now.
Carplan 'Fastwax' on top, this stuff is only £4.99 and is a spray on wax, easy on, easy off.
Ok, so perhaps this combo won't have the depth of finish that is achievable with a bigger budget but it should do the trick and will still easily be the shiniest cleanest car on the street
Oh and if you are feeling flush, Victoria Concours wax looks amazing on black when well prepped beforehand

Seconded. The more work you put into these products the more you get out of them. The Fastwax is great, especially for the price. Autoglym Super Resin Polish - this will clean and 'fill' the paint, making it hopefully a lot shinier than it is now.

I've had it on both cars for three weeks now and it's holding up very well, super impressed given the low price and ease of application. Was considering the black fire sealant but having second thoughts now.
Another +1 for Super Resin Polish and Extra Gloss Protection
If you're willing to wait a bit, every month Halfords have a 3 for 2 sale on Autoglym Products, I picked up the AG Body Shampoo, Super Resin Polish and Ultimate Deep Shine for £20 Have lasted a year so far, and still got half a bottle of shampoo left!

I used to use Super Resin Polish then Extra Gloss Protection but I've switched to Ultra Deep Shine then EGP. It goes on and comes off better than SRP with none of the white dust and is a marginally better result I think.
Big fan of this, although oddly the Autoglym web site says not to use UDS then EGP. Not sure why...
