In a moment of utter stupidity...

I was washing my car and for about 10 seconds I accidently used the coarse side of my sponge causing this




I've washed the car just now so you can see the extend of it.

What would be the best product you veterans can recommend to fix this? I'm a bit worried I might just make things worse.

Looks more like you been at it for about 10 minutes not 10 seconds !!! Best you get on the phone to your local detailer. I`d say a machine polish is the only way forward with that and even that might not be enough.... sorry

Yep a quick machine polish will sort that out no problem

T Cut
Start slooowly to se if it makes a difference

Really needs a machine polish to bring it back to what it was, t cut is good at hiding stuff (if your selling a car) but washes off pretty quick.

I guess you are thinking of the coloured polish stuff that T-Cut make to hide scratches? Proper T-cut is simply a fine cutting compound, it's effects do not wash off!

True they do but most people get mixed up with the coloured stuff they sell. Better cutting compounds are available.
