Protective film advice
Discussion
I have a six month old car that must have the most brittle paint on the planet! It is an exclusive colour and I can't believe the size of the stone chips on the bonnet, 5 pence pieces all over, so I've decided to get it sprayed and then protect it. Long time since I've gone this route and I know that things have improved, anyone with any experience or advice on what to go for?
New paint work shouldn't have film applied for at least 4 weeks (longer if possible).
New paint is still 'gassing off' (solvents are still evaporating and the paint's still hardening) during this period - covering it (even applying wax) to early will prevent this process and cause problems.
