Compomotive FH wheels: rough finish. Original?
Discussion
Hi all,
I picked up some Compomotive FH 1560 wheels, because they are pleasingly retro (though still not decided if they are actually just ugly - I think the style is an 80s Ferrari copy). They even have cheesey centre lock style centre caps.
Anyway they are structurally very good, with no curbing and are nice and round. The lacquer is going but that's an easy fix.
Anyway, the finish on the back of the wheels is pretty grim - at first I though it was basically just painted over dirt and crud, but looking more closely, it looks like just a rough casting with only the important bits machined back.
Am I right - would this be normal for this king of wheel? Does this look like the original finish? Thanks in advance for any ideas.
And yes, that is a lot of wheel weights!
Cheers,
Felix
