Snow foam - what am I doing wrong?

I use magifoam. Don't know how thick you're supposed to apply it but my cars look like they're coated in whisked egg whites by the time I've covered them. Leave the car for 15 minutes, rinse with the jetwash and they're respectably clean. Half the time I don't bother with a hand wash, just foam and rinse brings them up well.

I foam and let it slide off over 20 minutes. I rinse then re-foam and this time I go over the whole car with a microfibre wash mitt. After that I rinse off and dry with microfibre cloths.

The car is polished with Autoglym resin polish and waxed with Farecla supergloss paste monthly so dirt sticking isn't much of a problem.

Does anyone rate SmartPolishPro products?

Bilt Hamber snow foam is quite good and cheaper than most others on the markets. It does break down and loosen dirt but won't clean your car for you. Once jet washed off there is less chance of dragging hard contaminates over your car and marring the paint work when using a wash mitt. That's the benefit and nothing more really. Does grab people attention though

Snow foam should only ever be as thick as double cream–yohgurt, any thicker and it isn’t as useful as it could be.
5-8 minutes is all the dwell time that should be needed too, but don’t let it dry on warmer days.
Equally, your pressure lance should have a medium spread fan, and for most PWs (domestic and semi-commercial), the nozzle can be used as close as 6” from the paintwork, at an angle, not perpendicular.
That’ll get rid of all but the finer, stickier road traffic film, and even bugs/tar, depending on pessure/protective layer.

Snowfoam is designed to be used mainly for regular maintenance washing so will only remove light surface dirt. We tend to rinse first, hit any heavily soiled areas with a general purpose cleaner then snow foam over he top. I'd recommend autofoam by Bilt Hamber best snow foam there is and we have tried loads.

Put something like AirGlide or similar on it. Then a simple wash as required or even just a quick detailer spray.

You might laugh at this but a good few years back a neighbour did exactly this on a black jag only a few months old. Made a right mess, nice chap but not a clue on car related stuff.
