I'm interested in this too. Would like to find someone that makes the underside of a car look new but protected rather than everything covered in tar and a pain to work on in future.

This is who i plan on using when I eventually get a classic beetle. (In Scotland tho)

A lot of old classic cars that have survived seem to have had Dinitrol treatment when new , so tells at tale ?

I've done several Alfas using the products on rust.co.uk. They seem to work as described.

Its a gopping job, I'd be inclined to hand over the £450 next time.

Rustoleum offers good anti-rust products also.

Apologies for the thread resurrection.

I'm after any recommendations for places to get this sort of treatment done in the Hull/Yorkshire area on my JDM car.

Google throws up JR Classics at Doncaster.

Any other personal recommendations? Thanks

Not very near Hull, but I used Rustbusters in Spalding, Lincs in Nov '18. It went back for it's yearly inspection and slight top-up a year or so ago (I grounded MR2 out on some hard refrozen snow), and will be going in again when this lockdown lifts. Happy with what I saw a year and 14,000 miles later.

Excellent. I'd have no qualms about going back there. Only slight inconvenience was they wanted the car overnight, but TBH that's a good sign. There are some waxoyl/dinitrol merchants, particularly in the MX5 world, who'll slap it on in a couple of hours. Rustbusters were not like that. They did an excellent careful job, jet washing and drying the underneath, then converting the minimal amount of surface rust, and then not only spraying the entire underside and suspension arms, but also injecting cavities. £504 inc VAT, but my tiny little roadster is the smallest of cars. If you've got anything bigger, it will be a bit more.

I'd have no hesitation in recommending them. If you do use them, avoid the tiny road along the canal (which my nav directed me on to) - terrible road!

Cavity wax will slow it down but the best rust protection is to keep it garaged and not drive it in the winter when they salt the roads.
