Chopped windscreen required
Discussion
Hi I'm running a chopped Morris pick up that is in need of a replacement windscreen - the old one is complete but badly scratched and pitted - having trouble finding anyone willing/able to make me a new one - Left it with Pilkingtons for 10 weeks as they said they could then retracted saying no longer had the tooling.
I did see some very early posts on here from a member 530dTPhil saying he had done some- is he still a member need to get sorted urgently as car is just about ready after some major bodywork and respray
Would want to get two made up so a spare always available. Should be cut from a standard Minor screen
Any help gratefully received!

There is your answer.Go along to a small glass cutting shop and ask them if they will cut down a screen for you. They won't accept responsibility if it doesn't go as hoped, but if they are skilled enough should be able to do it.
So following on from my post - I tracked a company down who were more than happy to sort me out a chopped windscreen. Mobile Service guys called Colin and runs Allglass Mobile service based out of Belvedere in Kent Cut me two windscreens (so I got a spare!) - he's done quite a few in the past and does a lot of Yankee and classic stuff. Worth keeping his details!!
