Car park ding repair question
Discussion
New to me XKR - lovely condition but has a ding on the drivers door below the door handle - hopefully you can see it in this picture.
I've used mobile dent repair places before and noticed that the equipment they use is sold on ebay these days. The Jaguar is aluminium and my question is this: can this be repaired using one of these kits by a technically useless individual

Find a decent PDR tech.
Whilst you can buy the tools on ebay etc you can't buy the expertise to use them properly & chances are you'll push just a little too hard which will likely result in an outie & split the paint - at which point it's game over & a paint shop.
If you really do want to DIY them I'd suggest you have a look on youtube & get a couple of panels from a scrappie to practice on before going at the car.
From a chat with one of the PDR companies local to me at the time of the hail storm that passed over Leicestershire a few years ago an issue with aluminium is that unlike steel it tends to stretch as it dents which could mean depending on the size of the dent that you're trying to get a quart back into a pint pot.
