Hey guys,

Fitted a diffuser to my car over the weekend and the exhaust tip fowls against it. After a bit of 're jigging I now have around 5mm clearance and some reflective heat tape over the bodywork.

My question is is this enough? Or should I lower the exhaust mounts to be safe?

That'll be fine. Unless you are spitting flames constantly. Mine touches.

Any danger of the splitter rattling against the exhaust or bodywork? That wouldn't be good for the splitter or the bodywork.

It only produced a little pop of flame on the dyno. So should be ok.

The diffuser is pretty solid no flex at all.

Tips being at the back aren't to bad with respect to heat.

Your biggest issue will be fouling when hitting bumpy roads/speed bumps that cause the exhaust to move and possibly hit the bumper/splitter.

Play it by ear, see what you can get away with. The other side of the coin, if it's upgraded (bigger) pipework and lowered car is the system overall sits closer to the floor so can foul that way also.
