Let's start with the ODB reader:

1. Is the ODB reader a stand alone unit or one you connected to to a laptop / mobile phone?

2. Can you use the ODB reader on another vehicle?

No...lets start with why you decided to change these parts ?

And with no commas in between parts mentioned....exactly what have you changed ?

And are you saying just the CEL does not come on, or not dash lights at all work ?

And has whatever code reader you are using every worked on this vehicle ?

Most of what you say suggests nothing is getting power...but really, far more info needed.

You say youve changed the ECU, key and transponder, did you change the whole indicator/wiper stalk mechanism, I seem to recall you have to and possibly also the instrument cluster, and after all that is done it all needs to be coded to the body module before it will work.

Vauxhalls dont seem to like electrical units being swapped around. Ive been told by a long experienced VX tech that the best way to do this is to have the coding of the replacement unit wiped whilst it is still fitted to the original vehicle and then recoded to your vehicle like a new unit. This off course has to be done using VX Tech2 diagnostics and requires the security card for both vehicles for the coding.

And once again I ask.

Exactly what has been changed, and why were these parts changed ?

I'm sure you didnt just randomly wake up one morning and decide to start changing parts ( at least I'd hope not )

And the simple explanation for no CEL lighting...is someone might have removed the bulb. But again.....you're giving us zero history to go on.
Or someone working at the car might have done damage somewhere, blown a fuse, lots of reasons.

When was the last time this vehicle worked correctly ? and what has led you to start throwing parts at it ?

You say other dash lights are on, so is the immobiliser lamp lit or flashing ?

From what you say, the engine will actually crank over ? but not start ?

People need information to give any chance of help....other than yes scrapping it is an option.

I take it that means it never comes on. If that is the case a previous owner has probably disabled/removed the bulb/led.

the problem started when the light did not come on before it was on so not the bulb

Check the fuses and relays that supply power to the ECU and ignition system

I think he's trying to say that he's changed the crank sensor, but his mate thinks it might need an ECU and key etc. Clearly his mate has no idea about Vauxhalls.

You might need to use a Vaux-Com to pull the Vauxhall/Opel specific codes?
