I bought a pre registered golf

When I saw it in the compound there was a small scrape to the nearside front bumper. As part of the purchase VW sorted this (as you would hope on a car with 7 miles on the clock).

Any way, inline with every other experience I've had with this dealership (apart from selling cars, they're good at that!), it's not great.

Can this be saved by them with a polish (I'm not doing it, it's their cock up) or does it need respraying?

You can see the OEM pain on the arch and then the new paint to the left of it. The wheels reflection in both gives away the difference.

It looks matt/flat/not shiny and pitted.

It is just a small area so I'm tempted to take it to a trusted body shop, but then I'll be without a car for a day or two.

After a diy repair on wife’s bumper, i used this between coats, to remove overspray & get a good finish :-

Then a good polish & im very pleased with the result .Flat paint, which yours looks like.

Not sure i’d risk it on a new car though! Maybe worth a try still if you intend getting it done anyway.

^ thanks for the response

I’ve spoken to the supplying delearship and they’ve said they will sorted. I don’t hold a great amount of hope but fingers crossed, may as well give them a chance.
