Headlight Refurb?
Discussion
My headlights could do with smartening up, but where a good polish will get rid of the cloudiness on the outside, there's also a bit of cloudiness inside the sealed unit that an external polish obviously wouldn't get to.
Is there such a thing/has anyone had any experience of, a headlight refurb that would sort this?
I'm thinking the kind of thing where I post them off and they get taken apart and cleaned then returned to me?

It’s an X150 XKR.
Now, I personally do not have experience with these. Maybe you should just do them from outside using some 3M or similar kit and see if this solves the issue. There is a thread here with very similar problems, they also suggest that polishing outside is enough. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk-xkr-x150-33/...ST565NP said:

Before picture isn’t great to show how they were but here’s a before and after:

Looks fantastic.
Mine came up very well, but, there are some light "watermarks" that are definitely inside the unit.
As much as I search, there seems to be nobody who does a lenses-off headlight unit refurb.
I've been contemplating it on a couple of my cars and a lot of the youtube vids show people gently heating the whole unit in an oven to soften the glue, then unsticking the lens from the rear of the unit... seems like something to try once you've found a source for replacement lights just in case!Mine came up very well, but, there are some light "watermarks" that are definitely inside the unit.

Whatever method you use to remove the clouding in the plastic, the sun soon starts to do its worst again, what products do you use to protect the new finish from UV please folks.
Just out of interest i generally use White Diamond metal polish and then a wax polish to protect the lenses.
