A bit of an anticlimax, I'm afraid.

None of those fitments were of the right dimensions for the lance, so it was all useless.

The reviews of the generic patio attachment are overwhelmingly positive so I assumed that, given the number of non-Karcher alternatives on the market, these were either universal aftermarket plug and play items or (worse-case scenario) you get a few fitments and hey presto.

I'm going to return the fitments and shop around for other types in the vague hope that there is something.

Update from me.

Called North West Power Washers in Preston whol were brilliant in identifying the problems with my Nilfisk. Supplied all the parts that arrived by post next day. Fixes were straightforward. Cost £17.00 total.

Pressure washer works like new again.

I did not realise, but my Nilfisk is a good unit spec wise. Would cost around £400 to replace with equivalent.

I know this isn't up there with the high quality stuff, but after my last Bosch broke with just a few years of light use cleaning the car I decided to try a budget alternative and got the Turtle Wax TW135 - currently on Amazon at just £108. It has an 8m hose which is much better than the equivalently priced Bosch at 5m. The nozzle easily switches between the high pressure rotating jet and one more suitable for the car.

I've found it to be a pretty decent tool for what I want, it's light (so honestly it's better just to lie it on it's side as otherwise it will fall over whilst in use anyway), and the hose reels back up into the handle, the pressure is perfectly comparable to my last Bosch, and they do a snow foam lance as well.

As I say, not a premium one but it's two years old, so even if it broke tomorrow it would still be better value than my Bosch one in terms of £ cost per year of life. I would have one again.

Hello all, after some advice for a replacement lance (stubby and long) for the nilfisk core 140.

Really not impressed with the core 140 original lance quality. The first one failed after 2 uses and the second one I got under warranty lasted 3 uses.

Looking for recommendations on how I would adapt the nilfisk hose to another lance. Cheers!
