Mild soap non abrasive, not too wet.
Clean and remove thoroughly, then dry and condition with a leather conditioning product.
Most recommend Gliptone, but there's Leatherique, Einszett, LeatherMaster, and Lexol.
I've just got hold of some Tanner's Preserve Cleaner, and Conditioner to test and report on - so more as and when I get a chance.

Google says that ethanol or isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alc) is the best stuff to remove it.

Cheers, tried already but hardly made a dent. More drastic action required !

Righto ! Next question, where the feck do I get some from ? Local pharmacy or such like ???

Worse case scenario is darling daughter is getting a second hand, heated electric recaro out of our S4 for Christmas and a new one is being purchased from her piggy bank.....5 year olds, why did no one warn me ????

If the seats aren't very pale (grey will be fine, I wouldn't risk it on magnolia, either way you should try a hidden spot) meths should do the job. Shouldn't be too hard to get hold of. Soft cotton pad, ideally a white t-shirt, damp but not saturated. After it comes off, gently wipe across the whole area affected (evens out the tone), then use a leather cleaner and conditioner.

If it still won't come out, valeters have seen this before !

Lighter petrol, works everytime.

Don't be tempted to use regular petrol - additives in it will cause problems!

This may sound a little unusual, but many people swear by nail polish remover or aftershave on cotton wool. I guess it works due to the high alcohol content. Give it a go gently and see what happens. Hairspray is another option...not gel!

Try baby wet wipes - have worked wonders in the past for us successfully.

Nail polish remover is acetone, which will take it off might also take some of the finish with it.

Try brake cleaner. Seriously - its excellent stuff. Its also fabulous for getting chewing gum out of carpet

Turtle Wax Leather Cleaner/Conditioner. Worked on red leather Merc seats with an almost whole Bic refill emptied on them. Available from your local Halfords.

You could also try Chemical Guys Orange Degreaser - I've just had to do this to the lounge armchairs - four year olds, eh! Who'd have 'em...

Nice grey marks on the black leather replacing the biro but far more obvious....excellent ! Maybe I should recolour it in with a black biro ?

I once bought a three pack of felt-tip pens, one black permanent ink pen,one blue one and there was a pen in the pack for removing the permanent ink,i ended up using this pen to get rid of loads of pen marks/stains,it works great!and being a pen you can direct it to the point and not spread the stain around!I think the pens i got were for writing on cd,s?

No, but you could recolour it with a reconnolising kit - do a search on the TVR forums for reconnolising
