Would give those grout sponges a miss to to be honest go with, a Zym0l sponge there only a fiver and trust me they are good and dont (if used care fully and properly) cause any marring or swirls at all.

At the end of the day you sue what work for you, its not how you get the finish that matters, it the finish its selfwink

sheepskin mit for the main bodywork - microfibre mit for wheels etc

use a grit guard and rinse FREQUENTLY - no problem

there are also arguements about microfibre cloths inc even the 'cd test' - getting a bit nerdy imo

^^ it all comes down to what works for for you if you get on fine with something dont change it

as for getting nerdy if you do a full correction and spend 4-5-10-14 hours corecting a cars paint work the last thing you want is to mark the paint up buffing wax/sealant, just cos the cloth is made of cheap cr@p IMO, thing is i find some cheaper MF cloths to be a better cloth than the more "luxury" lines, if you want good MF cloths go packshack or sonus IMO

sorry perhaps i worded my reply badly?

Sonus cloths are what i use plus a few (very rare) Blackfire ones!

i really meant that the 'cd test' was nerdy - cd's and car finishes have nothing in common

also to carry out said tests is expensive since the good cloths are only available by mail order - so you buy and try?

i've found that washing in pure soak flakes and adding a few tablespoons of vinegar improves the softness/absorbency of microfibre cloths
