I had an idea. How hard could it be to stip and repaint both sets of wheels for my BMW?

Very. Having spent 4 hours today stripping (badly) and priming (haphazardly) one wheel, i quite frankly can't be arsed with the other three and the thought of my BBS crosspokes gives me a nervous twitch.

Does anyone know of somewhere i could send 8 wheels and have them come back in nice shiny bare metal? I'm happy enough to spray them myself but can't help thinking there's an easier way of getting paint off than a wire brush attachemnt on the drill and 8 acres of wet+dry.

Look for companies that specialise in sandblasting. That'll strip them back.

Check out Pristine. They have agents near you and are very good. They acid bath them and then will remachine or build up where needed and then repaint/powder coat in whatever colour you want. They are very good.

Call a powder coating place and ask if they can bead blast these.

A trader over at detailingworld has posted an awful lot of brilliant examples of his workmanship, Jus Wheels is the company, proper craftmanship by the looks of things...
