not a patch on a foam lance either - sorry!even the Karcher foam lance is better imo - about £10 or less on fleabay
same principle as the Flash car wash system - and the Flash can do filtered water for the final rinse!

I usually rinse my car before I wash it. I just thought this might be a good way of getting some shampoo onto the car before I wash it normally. I know its not going to foam and dwell like a lance and pressure washer.
Maybe I will go down the lance and pressure washer route in the future but for £10 its got to be worth a go.

Could've been better probably if he had more soap in it. Still not a patch on a Gilmore, which falls a bit short of what a lance does on the end of a PW.

Yes, the amount of foam depends on a) your water pressure & b) your shampoo.
If you can justify £50 for putting foam on your car, then the Gilmour is your toy.
If you want a product that can also apply the new type thixotropic shampoos, and can throw shampoo onto the tops of 4 x 4's etc. then I don't think there's anything better on the market. I use mine for cleaning inside the wheel arches. It's great for that because you can get shampoo everywhere.
There's a video at www.superspray.co.uk. Just click on the pic of the lambo at top right of page, but it's using thixotropic shampoo, not foaming shampoo. There's a photo of it in use with Snow Foam at www.superspray.co.uk/snow_foam.htm

Cheers Cotty! Here's a pic of my son getting in Mum's goodbooks. He's using superspray & XOPC thixotropic shampoo, so that's not the foamiest shampoo, because it clings rather than foams up. I actually like that because they say much more of the shampoo actually gets into contact with the car, and it is a lot easier to rinse off.
anyway, here's the pic [pic]www.superspray.co.uk/superspray & xopc shampoo 3JPG.jpg[/pic] (they're using it on the superspray website).
How did you get on with your supersray then Cotty? certainly worth a tenner aren't they?

I've got one.
At the time, I just couldn't justify spending the thick end of 50 sheets on a Gilmour, and, whilst I have a Karcher washer with shampoo attachment, Its enough hassle at the moment getting the hose out as I don't have any off road parking.
Its actually pretty good! I use Megs Gold Class shampoo in it and you get a reasonable amount of foam out of it, and no doubt a proper foaming shampoo would produce better results.
But...for a tenner its bloody good. Its quite well built, although the thread on the top has broken so you can't do it up too tightly, and the top part of the sprayer is loose on mine and falls off from time to time. Otherwise, it gets used every week to keep 2 cars clean.
7/10 for the results
9/10 value for money
Hope that helps you.
Given the choice again, I'd get a Gilmour as a mate bought one at the same time as me, and swears by it.
